Brief Description of Mediterranean Youth Movement
The ultimate goal of this project is to educate youth of Mediterranean countries together on ICT and make them use technology to improve regional peace and harmony.

Turkey, Israel, Spain, Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Palestine
What is the aim of Cisco Mediterranean Youth Movement?
- Improvement of the youth attendance and education level
- Development of youth IT capacities from different regions of the countries in order to foster their academic and professional development, make them ready for the business world
- Providing IT training in local youth centers on a voluntary basis
- To improve friendship and cooperation among youth groups from different countries through the use of technology
- Development of relations and cooperation between youth of Mediterranean over the Internet
The role of youth in the project
The activities of this movement are;
- Participants are subject to a comprehensive IT education with Cisco Networking Academy Program. Their technical education is supported with education on English, leadership, and social responsibilities. Both instructors and participants are chosen among young and training is given and taken on a voluntary basis.
- Youth from different countries develop a common online environment with the facilities of Internet and information technology. It is aimed that the young make academic, industrial, and technological leadership as well as regional collaboration and cooperation. Participants are supplied with multi-media technologies, online communication equipments, a common radio station and online games in order to keep in touch.
Which qualifications are expected from instructor nominees?
- Good level of English
- To have some education on Information Technologies (academic and/or adult education)
- Minimum vocational high school degree, being a university student or a Bachelor degree is a plus
- Having some experience on education
- Being ambitious to be volunteer
How can I join?
Mediterranean Youth Movement Turkish Branch is to be implemented by Youth for Habitat NGO. Volunteer Cisco Academy Instructors are to be educated at first stage of the project.
